ZCam E2 Test Footage!
Updated: Jul 8, 2019
Recently I made the (very hard) decision to purchase a new E2, it's been a battle between the BMPCC4K, the Panasonic GH5 and the Sony A7III, but not long ago I heard about this Chinese company called ZCam and that they had a camera that fullfilled all my needs (4K 60FPS, 10BIT LOG, Multiple FPS) and all this at a very affordable price. So after doing some extensive research I decided to invest in my on E2 and boy am I happy with it.
Rigging the beast
When I got this beauty on the mail, the next step was finding the nicest rig for me, so after a few tries I found this one is my best setup for running and gunning.
The camera is on a smallrig cage with a side handle, the cage is on a quickrelease plate attached to 2 15mm rods, and to this rods I attached a shoulder mount but rotated it so I can use it as a chest support. On top I attached a BM Videoassist 4K connected to the E2 via HDMI. In this photo I attached the Canon EF 20mm 2.8 lens.
So finally the day has come when I have some time to test the camera. This was a quick test I did in Amsterdam (my home town) in just a few hours, enjoy.
